报告简介:Electromagnetic camouflaging refers to an array of techniques that make objects undetectable or disguised to electromagnetic (microwave, terahertz or optical) waves. Detection camouflaging is naturally of paramount interest to the military, while disguisement camouflaging is increasingly used in civilian featured cloths and building facades. We present a metasurface that is temporally modulated so as to perform camouflaging. This metasurface consists of a two-dimensional array of patches, each loaded by a grounding stub equipped by a diode switch controlled by an external broadband random signal. This random signal spreads out the spectrum of interrogating radar waves so as to transform them into a noisy signals with undetectably low intensity. As a result, no back-scattering is measurable, and the object is concealed to the radar.
报告人简介: Xiaoyi Wang received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2011, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2014. He is currently in the last year of his Ph.D. study at University of Montreal, QC, Canada. From 2014 to 2016, he was an RF Engineer with Huawei Technologies, Shanghai, where he was involved in 5G communication systems. He has published, as the first author, 13 journals and conferences papers. He is the receipt of Huawei Best New Employee award and several student paper awards at academic conferences. His current research interests include metamaterials & metasurfaces, antennas & microwave devices and future wireless communication systems.
